Fire this asshole because of what?

Let's go over Petchesky's case for firing him:

1. He acted as a character witness for boys he coached and presumably had a good relationship with.

2. Someone who worked on his staff said something stupid to the NYT.

3. His players assumed he would protect them from responsibility, which he ultimately didn't/couldn't.

4. He didn't suspend his players quickly enough after they were charged with an assault.

The only thing that seems to hold any weight at all might be #4. Other than that, there's no evidence that he lied about anything or did anything wrong, right? What coach wouldn't at least try to help his players, even if they did something wrong? It doesn't sound like he did anything outside the bounds of what a person would do to try to help out another person they cared about, even if that person had done something wrong.
